MSA:

Sustaining Faith-Based Healthcare Where It Matters Most

Mission Sustainability in Africa (MSA) strengthens mission hospitals through health workforce
support, climate-smart solutions, and community capacity building—ensuring continued access
to compassionate medical and spiritual care in underserved communities.

What we do

Ensuring that quality, compassionate, and Christ-centered healthcare continues to serve communities long after missionaries leave.

Strengthening mission hospitals

We work to improve the governance, systems, and service delivery of mission hospitals so they can operate efficiently, sustainably, and continue serving communities with excellence and compassion.

Supporting doctors and chaplains

We mobilize, support, and retain qualified medical professionals and chaplains to ensure mission hospitals provide both quality medical care and holistic spiritual support to patients and communities.

Hospital infrastructure development

We support the construction, expansion, and modernization of hospital facilities to create safe, functional, and well-equipped environments for quality healthcare delivery.

Training and capacity building

We invest in long-term training and skills development for doctors, healthcare workers, and hospital leaders to strengthen local capacity and improve healthcare systems.

Partnerships for sustainability

We build strategic partnerships with churches, universities, governments, and development organizations to mobilize resources, share expertise, and ensure the long-term sustainability of mission hospitals.

About us

Mission Sustainability in Africa (MSA) is a registered Christian non-governmental organization

founded in 2010 to ensure the continued provision of quality medical and spiritual care in

mission hospitals across Kenya and the region.

In Kenya Most of the mission hospitals were founded and supported by the missionaries for

many years. Following the decline in missionaries and their support, these mission hospitals have

become financially and operationally vulnerable, despite critical role in provision of healthcare

services in Kenya, most of these hospitals provide services particularly in rural, underserved, and

hard-to-reach communities.

MSA was established to respond to this gap by mobilizing resources that sustain healthcare

delivery and chaplaincy services grounded in Christian values. We work to ensure that mission

hospitals continue to deliver professional, compassionate, accountable, and faith-based

healthcare to communities with limited alternatives.

Our Values

We seek to glorify God by being:

 Accountable

 Result-oriented

 Professional

 People of integrity

Without intervention, many mission hospitals risk:

  • Reduced service quality

  • Closure of critical departments

  • Loss of spiritual and compassionate care focus

MSA exists to bridge this gap and secure the future of mission healthcare in Africa.
